Migrant woman/children observed Independence Day in brick kiln of Greater Bhubneshwar
===================================================
Bolangir ;For the first time, two migrant working women, hoisted the National Tricolour flag on in  a brick kiln at Balianta ,near Bhubneshwar on Sunday and migrant children sang National song and teaching learning materials like slates, notebook and other items were given to them, by member of the Zilla Parishad of the Balianta block, Krishna Chandra Jena on this occasion.

The event was observed  at one of the Child Care & Learning Centres (CCLC) out of the 20 CCLCs run by Aide et Action in the Greater Bhubaneswar region for the children of migrant workers, to provide them safe, healthy and a learning environment at a worksite situation. The main objective behind celebrating the day by and with the migrant kids was to impart knowledge to them about the importance of the day in the history of India and also to create an opportunity for their enjoyment and bring smiles on the face of many,Says SarojBarik of Aide et Action.Bhubneshwar.

These migrant children while migrating to brick kilns ,other parts of the State and the country miss out on their education, their identity thus becoming an invisible and undocumented part of the society. It is to make these children visible and to make them access their rights,  Migration Information Resource Center (MIRC,) Aide et Action planned to organize the event so as to let children be part of the celebration and feel their importance within the society, Barik Says further.
