The district administration is taking all steps to ensure free and fair election to LokSabha and Assembly  segments in the district. Speaking to media persons District CollectorM.Muthukumar asserted that the district administrition is taking steps to hold a free and fair election in the district and steps would be taken to enforce the guidelines issued by Election Commission of India..

However even as the BolangirParliamentray constituency is spread over two revenue district namely Bolangir and Sonepur the information sheet provided to media by district election officials in a press conference today evening (5^th march2014) doesn’t contain any information about the assembly segments  of sonepur district in  Bolangir Parliamentary constituency.
