Balangir: The Balangisr District Congress Committee (DCC) led by its president Bhagabana Bagarti staged a dharna in front of the district Collectorate here on Friday protesting the rise of prices of essential commodities, including pulses and onions.
The party leaders held the Government responsible for the price rise and demanded effective measures to be taken to control the situation.
Later, Congress leaders, including Hemanta Panda, Laxman Meher, Suryabhanu Mishra and Kailash Mishra led by the DCC president submitted a memorandum to district administration in this regard.
